Test connection between two hosts on specific port (tcp||udp):
On destination host:
- testing udp: run nc listening on port 2212 (substitute) using udp:
$ nc -l -u -p 2212 - testing tcp: run nc listening on port 2212 (substitute) using tcp:
$ nc -l -p 2122
On source host:
- testing udp: run nc to connect to destination host on port 2212 (susbtitute both IP and port) using udp:
$ nc -u 10.10.10.10 2212 - testing tcp: run nc to connect to destination host on port 2212 (susbstitute both IP and port):
$ nc 10.10.10.10 2212
Test:
Type something on source host. If connection was successfuly established it should echo on destination host.
